5 Day Retreat
Dyea, Alaska
July 27-August 1, 2025
A journey to reclaim what matters most.

Pressure, conflict, and anxiety, both from within and without, surround us on a daily basis. We may often find ourselves on autopilot, completing a series of tasks day after day as we wake up, go to school or work, pay bills, eat, sleep, and repeat. Our busy lives, combined with increasingly unstable times as we turn to quick fixes to reduce stress can steal away our sense of joy and aliveness, not to mention our optimism and innocence toward the world we live in. Sometimes we just need to get away to quiet our minds and escape from everything in order to reclaim what matters the most.

This 5-day retreat will provide you with time to reset your life with clarity and confidence. Each day is thoroughly planned to support your personal path with nutritious meals, yoga, meditation, and wellness activities. Our small group size will allow for meaningful connections, the exploration of new ideas, and plenty of time to rest and reflect in a caring and supportive space.
Incorporating the five elements and the vibration of sound, we will utilize our 7 main chakras for self-study and identify ways to cultivate harmony within and without. This journey is sure to put you back on track with a newfound sense of enthusiasm, playfulness, gratitude, and optimism.

Where we are staying...
Chilkoot Trail Outpost
The Chilkoot Trail Outpost is located a quick 7 miles from the Skagway townsite in the neighboring valley of Dyea. This lodging offers cozy and comfortable Alaska inspired sleeping accommodations in beautifully hand-crafted cabins. These cabins are made of Sitka Spruce taken from the Chilkat Valley. The logs were transported to the Yukon to Scandinavian log smiths where they were then skillfully hand peeled, sculpted, and prepared for the construction of this site. The ridgepole totem carvings depict Native Tlingit artwork, the indigenous people of this area.
All cabins have a fridge and microwave and are equipped with a coffeemaker, private baths and Wifi access.
Check in time is 3pm Sunday, July 27
Check out time is 11am Friday, August 1

Monday, July 28
Grounding in Earth
Our first full day together will begin by grounding ourselves in the element of earth. Through yoga, hiking, and meditative practices on our root chakra, we will connect with the stability and support of the earth beneath and move toward identifying and correcting any imbalances that are restricting our sense of self worth.

Tuesday, July 29
Flowing with Water
On the second day, we will focus on the element of water with a fun gentle flow yoga session, sacral chakra meditations, and a playful adventure on the nearby Tayia River. This day will help us release emotional blockages and empower our right to feel pleasure and make space for fun in our lives.
Wednesday, July 30
Igniting the Fire
Day three is dedicated to the element of fire and igniting our passion and determination. Dynamic yoga practices, invigorating breathwork and sacral plexus meditations that challenge and inspire us will help us connect with our inner fire. This day will foster transformation, helping us burn away what no longer serves.

Thursday, July 31
Breathing the Air
Drawing inspiration from the element of air, our fourth morning will be about expanding our hearts as we take a closer look at love, loss, and grief. Using breath work, yoga, and heart chakra mediations we will cultivate healthy ways to process our emotions and develop a deeper understanding and acceptance of the impermanence of all things.
&
Finding your Voice
Thursday afternoon we will explore our throat chakra, our bodies communication center, and look at how we are expressing ourselves and being heard in the world. Connected with the vibration of sound we will experience an elemental Sound Bath and have fun with call and response mantra.

Friday, August 1
Intuition and Beyond
Our last morning together will be an invitation to explore our third eye and crown chakra as we learn new ways to live intentionally with more peace in our lives.

Meet the Teacher
Katherine was born in Buffalo, NY and graduated from Niagara University with a BA in psychology in 1994. Her interest in helping others led her into the health and fitness industry when she realized that people suffering from addiction, psychological, and social disorders could greatly benefit from regular exercise and proper nutrition. Wanting to take a more proactive approach to helping people, she began her fitness and nutrition studies in 1996, earning certifications from NASM, AFAA, and JGSI (Spinning). Katherine worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in Buffalo for several years, which eventually led her to the discovery of Yoga. Katherine's first Yoga Teacher Training was with Sivananda in 1999. Since then she has studied with renowned teachers such as Donna Farhi, Judith Hanson Lasater, Ganga White, Gary Kraftsow, Stephanie Adams, Beth Shaw, SarahJoy, Bernie Clark, Gloria Latham, and Janet Stone. She is a 500 RYT-E and continuing education provider (YACEP) with Yoga Alliance. Katherine is also a Licensed Massage Therapist and spends most her time helping others, on her mat, or hiking with her four dogs in her hometown Skagway, Alaska.
